Your tasks:
- Define, extend and maintain the software architecture of radar systems (Automotive)
- Support software developers to ensure that the developed software fits in the overall architecture
- Create and maintain SW design guidelines and documents (e.g. Software Detailed Design) and participate in continuous process improvement activities
- Participate in design reviews with software developers and ensure implementations are based on design guidelines
- Work in conjunction with, and provide guidance to, an international team of developers
- Participate in the implementation of selected components
- Provide guidance on architectural and software implementation approaches
- Work with project and platform leadership to ensure that a robust, highly capable solution is correctly structured and designed
- Drive strategic decisions related to the software design
Your qualifications
- Profound experience in embedded software development, preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong ability to understand and reconcile impacts of changes across a complex embedded system design
- Knowledge of good software design and coding principles is mandatory
- Experience with complex embedded systems (SoC, multicore), including C programming of DSPs and micro-controllers
- Experience meeting Functional Safety requirements a plus (i.e., ISO 26262, IEC 61508, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge in Enterprise Architect and UML
- Sound knowledge in AutoSAR
- Familiarity with, and experience in, structured SW development environments e.g. CMMI or ASPICE preferably at Level 3 or greater
- Configuration management and version control experience, familiarity with PTC/MKS Integrity a plus
- Familiar with working in international teams
- Good oral and written communication skills (English essential)
- German working proficiency or fluency a plus
