Oracle Database Administrator DBA

TekTalent are building a dedicated remote application design and support team (At least 10 Greek technical professionals) that will work together on a number of large projects supporting existing enterprise business applications (multiple vendor software applications based on Oracle DBs) throughout a 2 year contract period (renewable) for planned projects. We are looking for multiple DBAs Senior and also intermediate level for this team to make progress on the large body of project work that is waiting for this team.

Responsibilities:

Provision of database administration functions for various platforms;

Provision of database administration functions for various technologies such as Oracle;

Provision of database administration functions for various environments such as Pre-Production, Production and DR;

Provision of database administration functions for various applications including key applications and other applications developed.

Requirements:

Fluent English required (proficiency advantageous)

Experience with Oracle 11g databases and utilities on Solaris and Linux servers

Strong experience with PL/SQL including triggers, procedures, packages and SQL tuning, Oracle Data Guard, Data Pump, Transportable Tablespaces, database-level performance tuning

Experience with Oracle Advanced Features, encryption, compression, database modelling and design

Strong knowledge with database replication, standby databases, backup and recovery procedures and disaster recovery planning/testing utilizing hot and cold backups

Experience setting up, configuring, copying, and moving databases across different platforms and operating systems

Strong UNIX/Linux scripting skills

Familiarity of Open Source tools and solutions

Understanding of web application solutions and servers

University Bachelors degree or Masters in related field advantageous

Experience working through English advantageous
