Description

IT/ IS Project Manager required for 18 month contract in Dublin.

The LIMS/LES Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of LIMS/LES and Serialisation projects to time, quality and budget. This is an individual contributor role and requires a strong ability to work across all areas of Quality, Information Technology and Validation, with stakeholder communication a priority. A strong focus on project output/outcome is a key requirement of this role, with a good cross functional approach, along with the capability to manage teams and individuals, who are not direct reports.

The new facility is scheduled to be operational in mid-2016 and will house new LIMS and serialisation systems. The LIMS( Sample Manager) roll out is anticipated by October 2015 and full operation by October 2016.

Our client is also at URS stage on the serialisation project and design is expected to commence in May/ June 2015 with full delivery by October 2016.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage the LIMS/LES and Serialisation projects across the global supply chain from concept through to completion
• Finalise the Project Management Plan and ensure it is approved by all relevant stakeholders
• Adhere to company Project Management Standards
• Identity and manage the resources required for the project
• Develop clear and concise project plans
• Effectively communicate project goals/progress to all key stakeholders
• Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle
• Develop and baseline a detailed project schedule
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
• Ensure resources are trained / coached in areas that are new to them (e.g. test execution)
• Manage third party supplier relationships
• Track project costs against the budget
• Update the project schedule weekly
• Produce weekly status reports in the required standard and distribute same to all stakeholders
• Maintain an issues log and ensure that issues are escalated as appropriate
• Maintain and manage a risk register
• Participate in project review meetings as required
• Produce Steering Committee reports.

Requirements
• Project Management (PM) experience in Information Technology, preferably in a Pharmaceutical Environment.
• Good knowledge of GMP and GDP preferred
• Good knowledge of LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) preferred.
• A sound knowledge of Pharmaceutical Industry serialisation requirements is desirable.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Project, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and SharePoint.

The consultant will need to manage multiple stake holders; two schedules; demands from two separate business groups; all within the ‘start up’ phase of a project. This role requires a well organised individual who is able to gain stake holder engagement quickly; a driven & strong personality would be beneficial.
