FRS is seeking an experienced COBOL developer for a 6 month contract position for a development office in Cork. Your Responsibilities will include:. Requirements analysis and application design . Providing accurate estimates and timings to project managers . Delivery of COBOL batch and online solutions using standard IBM mainframe development methodologies. Ensuring all QA procedures are satisfied in terms of process and documentation. Bug Fixing and enhancement implementation. Communication of designs to management and developers Your Technical Profile:. 5+ years commercial development and support experience as a COBOL programmer in a VSE, or other similar IBM mainframe environment. Proficient in COBOL, CICS, JCL amp; VSAM. Strong batch programming skills essential. Experience in Financial Software e.g. Insurance, Banking would be preferable.
