Description

A Senior Software Developer is required by a global leading semiconductor organisation on a long term contract, with the possibility of a permanent position. These systems are used by the major semiconductor manufacturers to create integrated circuits that power an array of electronic, communications and IT products. The successful candidate will have a chance to work with state of the art technology and work alongside world-class engineers.

Job Responsibilities

The Senior Software Developer will:
• Act as scrum team member;
• Demonstrate end-to-end ownership for feature/story based software engineering;
• Align specifications with stakeholders in the function team and the software platform lead;
• Secure both software and product quality;
• Ensure adequate fit of software deliverables in the software platform;
• Software realization, including design, testing and documentation;
• Act as buddy in pair-programming;
• Contribute to continuous improvement of our Agile software development for the software department as a whole;
• Transfer knowledge to colleagues and providing consultancy (e.g. Customer Support, Holistic Application Development).

Experience:
• BSc or MSc in computer science, informatics, mathematics, physics, or electronics.
• Must have 5 years in object oriented development of technical software for high-tech equipment.
• Must have 2 years of experience with Agile/scrum. Extensive experience with pair programming is a preference.
• Must have 3 years of experience with C#.
• Must have experience in development and application of algorithms.
• Knowledge of object oriented design patterns and UML.
• Up to date knowledge of and experience with recent versions of the .NET framework.
• Preferably have previous experience with model driven development and Matlab.

Please note that for this position, web development skills are not considered.
