POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this Procurement Analyst role is to provide financial analysis support to the P2P organization. The Procurement Analyst is responsible for supporting the development of a metrics suite, gathering relevant information, conducting in-depth analysis and making recommendations that drive improvements in my clients Procure to Pay (P2P) Processes.

Examples of analytical requirements are financial analysis supporting P2P and Procurement Transaction Centre metrics. The Procurement Analyst is expected to support P2P projects & other related activities such as metric development & reporting and data analysis to help GP achieve its objectives. This position will report to the EMEA Lead, BP&O.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with other members of the P2P community such as Procurement, Finance, BT and Requisitioners to understand the diverse requirements of the P2P area
  • Use an understanding of P2P processes, systems & data for problem solving & other ad hoc analysis
  • Use Procurement & Finance systems and associated Business Intelligence tools as a regular part of the role for such things as opportunity analysis, issue resolution and performance monitoring
  • Produce relevant & useful analytical support to help drive decision making & achieve group objective
  • Gather, analyze & interpret P2P transactional & process data
  • Package & present results of analysis in clear & useful manner
  • Use analysis results to develop recommendation to improve P2P processes & operational activities
  • Communicate recommendations, benefits & risks in a clear way

Collaborate effectively across different organizational levels, functions, businesses, and geographies to realize procurement goals and objectives specifically other members of BP&O, GP Sourcing, Global Financial Services Accounts Payable, Finance, Audit, Compliance & BT.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience in procurement, finance, process and/or technology
  • Analytical & problem solving skills
  • Strong Finance & Procurement analytical skills
  • Self-motivated, organized & comfortable in a changing business environment
  • Ability to communicate complex messages in clear & concise manner
  • Ability to work in teams and to influence others.


TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Indicate the technical skills required and/or preferred, as applicable.
  • Strong Finance & Procurement systems skills - SAP, Ariba, Oracle & related BI tools
  • Strong MS Office skills especially Excel & Access
