We are currently recruiting for a Senior Tester for a contract role for our clients in Belgium -Tasks
- Management of ICT Projects of the National Pensions Office (NPO).
- Integration into the Quality Management team within IT.
- Development in the field of calculation, allocation and payment of pensions, as well as exchanges with other organisms.
The project has a duration of 1 year.
Required Knowledge
- settle into and thorough understanding of the functional requirements based on internal documentation (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, UML) and communication with functional analysts;
- establishment of a global and / or share detailed test plan and test scenarios for internal IT testing and user testing based on the functional requirements;
- Defining minimum test requirements for each developing 'story' (development component analysis);
- perform functional testing ICT:
- drafting and documentation of test scenarios and developing test cases;
- execution of test scripts;
- analysis and documentation of test results;
- reporting of results of the tests;
- supervising testing by users:
- preparation environments;
- test performance and documentation components;
- support user testing;
- monitoring / analysis / documentation / dispatching reported issues;
- reporting the results of the tests for management;
- feedback from the succession to SPOCS of users;
- prioritize the bugs;
- Monitoring of the corrections with the developers and retesting;
- Create, maintain, document and automate regression testing;
- monitoring the quality of the documentation and the developed application;
- strictly follow the project;
- reporting to the IT project manager and the test coordinator;
- Coordination with other test analysts and improve the testing and quality process;
- Provide guidance to other test analysts within the project domain.
Required Experience
- proven experience in testing of business critical IT applications for at least 4 years in one of the following areas: complex calculations and algorithms, databases and flows, GUI, business and system processes, workflows;
- academic thinking and working;
- experience in the public sector, preferably in the field of social security;
- a broad view of test execution in IT (functional, user acceptance, performance, batch, data transformation, external interfaces, web GUI, anti-regression, ...);
- Certification in the field of testing and test management (TMAP NEXT, ISTQB) is an advantage;
- experience in functional testing and user acceptance testing
- Experience with automated regression testing;
- be able to go very fast in a complex context and affect the underlying operation to understand the application and / or the business processes;
- good communication skills; strong in translating ICT to business and vice versa, in the context of testing activities by end-users; be able to create new modes of operation in the context of the tested application, as well as test processes themselves, to explain to user-testers; experience as a business or functional analyst is an advantage;
- eye for quality and detail;
- strong analytical skills;
- result-driven (also follow the required actions of other team members until the result is achieved) and disciplined;
- autonomously acting (should conduct independent tests and organize communication with the various parties involved in ICT and business, itself take the necessary initiatives to achieve the results);
- stress resistant;
- Very good knowledge of SQL is required (searches specific test cases)
- knowledge and proven experience in Unix shell scripting (bash, sed, awk, ...) for the purpose of creating and maintaining test data is a plus;
- extensive experience with GUI test automation frameworks like Selenium or Test Bench;
- Experience with data migration routes is an advantage;
- Good knowledge of and experience with bug tracking tools, XML and UML (eg Jira.);
- Experience with UML tools (eg Enterprise Architect.);
- Experience with Altova XML Spy.
