Description
A client of ours is looking for a Dutch speaking Embedded SW Development Engineer to join their team in Antwerp.Responsibilities:
Develop embedded SW modules that are part of the networking stack (OSI layer 2 and up)
Troubleshoot and fix issues
Unit test, automated component/functional test, SCA, code review
Write design documents
Interface with 3rd parties
Follow technology evolution
Operate in a multi-disciplinary agile team following an iterative development model (scrum) ensuring quality by applying different validation techniques (unit, component, feature, test) during development and continuous integration, making use of advanced SW tools
Education:
Industrial or Civil Engieer or Masters degree in Computer Science/ Electronics/ Informatics or similar by experience
Experience:
Minimum 7 years experience in embedded software development.
Experience with developing for an embedded Linux device
Technical skills:
Embedded SW development (kernel and user space)
IP networks, routers, DSL gateways, Network security
Packet switching
OSI model
Ethernet, IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, IGMP
Networking protocols (DHCP, DNS, RAD, ND, PPP, IGMP, MLD)
QoS
Multimedia applications (Voice over IP, video streaming)
Network tools like ping, iperf, tcpdump, ethereal
Strong coding skills in C, scripting languages, shell.
Debugging on target (JTAG, gdb)
Linux embedded development (kernel & user space)
Knowledge of source versioning systems (GIT) is a plus.
