Description

We are currently looking for a Scrum master. Candidates must have demonstrable Scrum Master experience in the successful delivery of projects in the digital space. This includes strategic projects involving the web enablement of customer interactions via multiple device channels such as smartphones, tablets and kiosks. Candidates should be very familiar with Agile Scrum concepts, roles, and practices. The Scrum Master will provide leadership and mentorship to lead a cross-functional agile team. As the team delivers against projects involving large, complex technology and business oriented solutions, the Scrum Master will guide them through effective application of the agile based SDLC and facilitate associated ceremonies and events.

Essential Job Functions:

? Organize and facilitate planning and coordination ceremonies including release / PSI planning, iteration planning, daily stand-ups, iteration review/demos, and retrospectives.
? Hold team accountable to tenants of the agile SDLC and their internal working agreements including use of appropriate tools, standards and best practices
? Promote and demonstrate core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility
? Assist the team in tracking and communicating team progress and metrics
? Facilitate and enable an environment of collaboration and creativity
? Support and empower the team to make appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition
? Empower the team to self-organize around achieving their commitments
? Identify and remove any impediments/distractions that interfere with the team’s ability to deliver against their commitments
? Challenge and enable the team to continuously improve through intentional and data driven inspect and adapt cycles (retrospectives)
? Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practices where appropriate

Requirements:

? Bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience
? Must have 3+ years Scrum Master experience in a large scale enterprise
? Understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) constructs
? Excellent team player and team builder
? Ability to work with minimal supervision in a very dynamic and time sensitive work environment
? Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with diverse personality types
? Ability to understand technical issues at a high level
? Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
? Must have exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
? Ability to coach the team to reach their highest potential
? Must be "self-motivated" as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex problems
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail

Bonus Skills:

? Agile certification preferred or willingness to attain.
? Experience in other roles in an agile environment (product owner, development, BA, PM, QA, etc.).
