Description
For our client, a prominent institution in the Insurance sector, we are seeking a COBOL Developer to begin work on a 12 month contract (with the possibility of further extension) in central Brussels.All candidates must speak fluent French OR Dutch with at least a basic understanding of the other.
You will be working in a team responsible for Mainframe Life Insurance developments where you will be carrying out detailed technical design, programming and unit-testing based on the functional design made by the functional designer or Architect as well as:
- Software development and implementation following strongly imposed technical standards.
- Execution of E2E functional test cases based on the requirements
- Execution of technical impact analysis and regression tests.
- Functional design and implementation of maintenance requests
The ideal candidate will be an excellent team player with exemplary communication skills in the aforementioned languages as well as prior experience in an Insurance/Financial environment.
