Senior Credit Risk Analyst - Contract - Midlands

I have a requirement for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst for a 3 month contract in the East Midlands.

Rate: £p/d

Job Outline:
  • Process map and introduce control charts to ensure that critical business process run within defined tolerances.
    * Proactively identify opportunities to improve business performance by using appropriate credit risk analytical techniques to analyse data and drive understanding of portfolio trends.
    * Propose strategic change to senior management supported by robust business case using accurate data.
    * Support the implementation of strategic change utilising the change control process and other process change tools.
    * Develop, distribute and automate (where possible) performance MI to demonstrate the cost benefit value of any changes that have been implemented.
    * Use project management framework to ensure that key stakeholders are kept informed of the progress on all project work streams.
    * Represent the department and company in an appropriate manner when dealing with other parts of the company.
    * Build on and continue to develop appropriate technical expertise.

Person Specification:
  • 2-3 years of relevant analytical experience, preferably gained within a credit risk environment
    * Highly numerate, graduate in a statistics or similar numerate discipline
    * Proven ability to manipulate, analyse, and interpret data to solve problems logically using a range of advanced analytical techniques
    * The ability to lead analysis effectively and create solutions.
    * Experience in people management desirable, but not essential
    * Strong technical skills in SAS, SQL, or Equivalent tools
    * Strong MS Office skills, in particular MS Excel
    * Strong verbal and written communication, presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to adapt content and detail as appropriate for the intended audience
    * Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple deliverables and work under pressure
    * The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business
    * Continually seeking to improve performance by asking for feedback. Showing a continued desire and passion to learn and taking on new challenges.
