The successful applicant for this position will be joining a leading global financial markets institution with offices in multiple global locations. They have a reputation for the innovative use of cutting edge technologies to capture financial markets opportunities.
Due to continued success the organisation is looking to hire a top tier C++ architect who has a strong background in software architecture. The role has been created to define technical direction and design large scale financial systems.
As an architect you will be responsible for negotiating with business and technical stakeholders, researching new technologies, building prototypes and defining project scope.
The role is a hands on C++ development role where it is necessary to analyse requirements and provide technical recommendations and designs to address them.
The team comprises of a number of skilled Senior C++ Engineers with this architect role defining technical direction and making crucial technical decisions.
It's likely that the right person for this role will have a background of working with highly complex algorithmic trading systems in a high volume, low latency environment.
Requirements of the role:
- 10 years C++ experience
- Advanced software design and prototyping skills
- Strong finance/trading systems exposure
- In-depth regulatory reform knowledge
- Experience from high volume, low latency environments
- Stakeholder Management Capabilities
- MSc or PhD qualifications in Computer Science/Financial Markets highly regarded
