PRGs client, a successful manufacturing organisation based in Edinburgh are currently recruiting for Financial Controller on an interim basis (12 months).This role will provide key support to the Director of Finance, whilst also taking responsibility of operational management of the finance dept., management and statutory reporting, financial control, budgeting and forecasting.
The role will be responsible for:
&bull Financial Control &ndash ensure robust controls are applied throughout the business unit
&bull Financial Reporting &ndash produce flash and management reports accurate management accounts to senior management half & full year statutory accounts to group IFRS compliance audit liaison
&bull Financial Planning & Control &ndash drive annual budget setting process annual strategic plan review prepare short/medium term forecasts of profit and cash flow
&bull Capital Expenditure &ndash supervise maintenance of fixed asset register review reconciliation of register to general ledger identify project to be capitalised
&bull Tax &ndash compliance with VAT legislation review and sign off monthly VAT return coordination of annual tax credit claim
&bull Transactional &ndash oversee management of payroll, credit control, purchase & sales ledger processes including reconciliations
The role will involve management and development of staff, including training and motivating.
This is an interim role to provide key support to Senior Finance and Senior Management team as they oversee recent acquisition and integration into divisional finance team.
You will be a qualified accountant with experience ideally within manufacturing / production industries, consideration will be given to other industries provided standard costing experience can be demonstrated.
