Role:
The eCommerce Product Manager is responsible for defining, delivering, owning and optimising a best in class online acquisition journey.
This is a high profile, cross-functional role across the business, requiring regular interaction with Product Development, Technology, Design, Marketing, Brand, and the Insight team amongst others.
. You will be accountable for conversion rate and delivering acquisition volumes online.
. You will define and deliver a best in class eCommerce website and operation/including defining the requirements for a propriety CMS.
. You will work with our Technology teams to create relevant user stories and attain timely estimates to support the agile development and launch of a new sales journey
. You will help shape the MVP for the online sales journey, working closely with the scrum to ensure the requirements with the highest return are prioritised as applicable; scheduling an iterative delivery plan to ensure the full requirements are subsequently developed in the most efficient timeframe
. You will work closely with the Design team and external agencies to ensure we are progressively improving the user experience of the prospect site
. Working within an Agile framework you will own and lead the prioritisation for the Scrums development backlog/informed by the project deliverables and commercial KPIs
. You will introduce robust reporting measures to support the first phase of launch, to include web analytics and MVT planning
. You will be responsible for developing the site and overseeing the go/to/market readiness plan
To be successful in this role you must have an excellent understanding of Web User Experience/and with hands/on experience of managing and delivering online discovery and sales journeys.
You will also need to have excellent communication skills and 5+ years experience in a product owner role.
Key Skill Set and Experience:
. You have at least 5 years experience as a Product Owner in an online business with responsibility for sales
. To be successful in this role you must be analytical and data/driven
. If you have experience working in a start/up or other high/performance environment, this would be extremely beneficial
. You possess extremely strong web user experience skills and you have a real ability to translate business needs into clear user stories
. You are an excellent communicator, influencer and relationship/builder/and are comfortable doing so across a highly cross/functional environment
. Although sales focused, you are committed to delivering the best possible customer experience/and recognise that doing so will result in a high conversion rate
. You are likely to have experience of content management systems, as well as experience with web analytics and multi-variant tools
. You are a natural planner and always looking ahead, raising issues, providing solutions and meeting deadlines
. You possess a solid technical understanding that will enable you to have technical conversations and to know when to challenge developers and ask questions
. You have significant experience of working in an agile environment
