Description
Front-End Developer/HTML5/CSS/Javascript/LeedsMy client is an online global e-commerce distributor based in Leeds and are looking for a strong front end developer.
The company recently migrated from one e-commerce platform to a new one. You will be working as part of a large team, and you will be heavily involved in migrating the existing functionality onto the new platform. Your role will be working on all the UI/Front-End of this platform.
Essential Skills/experience:
* Demonstrable experience of front end work.
* HTML5 - Knowledge of modern W3C Web Standards, HTML/XHTML & CSS best practices.
* CSS3 - Hand coding semantic html mark-up and maintainable CSS style sheets.
* Strong understanding of JavaScript, including libraries such as jQuery.
* Developing browser compatible UI.
* Good communication skills
* Experience working as part of a team
Preferred Skills/experience:
* Excellent eye for detail and good awareness of principals of UI design.
* Adobe Photoshop/Fireworks and image optimisation
* Good understanding of source code control systems, ideally SVN and GIT.
Contract Location - Leeds
Contract Length - Initially 6 Months with likely extension
Contract Rate - £200 - £220 per day
