Roles & Responsibilities

Presales
Creates value propositions and position Huawei IT Services directly with customers as part of a team at CxO level.

Develop and articulate the Huawei Solution portfolio and value propositions reflecting market and customer requirements within the fixed, mobile and converged ICT markets.

Identify add on sales opportunities during assignments and/or with existing customers and communicate to appropriate business development areas within Huawei
Works closely with other Consultants or engineers to help identify, qualify, position and scope customer transformation opportunities and leads
Lead workshops and short-term value creation activities to establish Huawei credibility and build the case for a Huawei Consulting Services engagement.
Customer Project Delivery
Build, manage and own the customer relationship, capture customer requirements and analyze customer pain points to identify and agree solution deliverables for engagement.

Ensure customer interests are represented and addressed during consulting engagements

Helps customers define and execute transformation programs using an appropriate approach, including business requirements capture and definition, strategy development, architecture (inc. governance), standardization, operating & business models, vendor selection, and articulation of all standards affecting customer transformation, helping customers move towards a best-in-class-IT organization.
Helps customers understand the information security implications of the proposed transformation programs and can deliver at CxO level.
Collaborate closely with multiple parties from the customer, Huawei and partners. Work independently and consult with Huawei executives on high level, complex issues. Is responsible for, and independently leads, complex, cross-functional teams at the program or project level.
Works on both short-to-medium term transactional engagements, as well as longer term customer engagements.
Applies and continually enhances Huawei Consulting Services best practices and collateral, but also innovates and improvises as required.
Acquires and shares technical, industry, and Huawei business + IT transformation perspectives and knowledge with the customer community, partner community and within Huawei.

Responsible for creating leading practice white papers and case studies.

Able to travel extensively at short notice for extended periods, globally as requiredMinimum Qualifications

Education/Experience/Certifications
Graduate degree in Engineering or Computer Science (or equivalent) required.
Extensive expertise in ICT gained in delivery and senior managerial roles in three or more of the following competence areas:

  • IT Consulting and IT Outsourcing
  • NFV/SDN Experience desirable
  • Knowledge of OSS/BSS
  • Experience in Cloud, Virtualization, and Cloud Services(IaaS, PaaS) required
  • Data Center Consolidation and Migration

Requires extensive work experience in:

  • IT consulting/systems integration.
  • IT senior technology roles, preferably in Telecommunication industry, or Service Provider.
  • IT framework, maturity model or architecture certifications such as eTOM, ITIL or similar are a strong plus

Knowledge of Telecom Operator a strong plus
