Description
The Quality Assurance/Test Analyst will deliver services that meet the Government's Digital by Default Service Standard.
The Quality Assurance/Test Analyst role is a key one within the Delivery Team and will get involved in other tasks when necessary, supporting the whole team in its goal to deliver robust, functional and optimised products to a broad user base.
The main responsibilities of the post are to:
Day to day being an integral part of the multi-disciplinary team; designing, creating and improving new and existing products, platforms and interactions
Build and maintain a strong automated testing framework Embedded into the design and build process
Documenting all testing progress in the requirements tracking and agile project management tool
Essential Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of software best practices such as test driven development (TDD) and behavioural driven development (BDD) and continuous integration
Proven track record as a Quality Analyst engineer
Proven track record in some aspects of test automation; functional, performance, stress etc using one of the leading open-source tools and frameworks
Proven track record of testing web-based products built upon the following technology stacks (or equivalent): Java, SQL, NoSQL, MongoDb, XML and RESTful web services
Proven track record in testing web applications with knowledge of cross-browser, mobile, accessibility and user-interface testing techniques and disciplines
Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions
Ability to cope effectively with complexity and change
Ability to draw
