Ticketfly is making life better for the live events community with innovative technology that improves the fan experience from discovery to attendance and beyond. We are challenging the status quo by centering the experience around the fan and building a powerful integrated marketing and analytics platform to help event promoters serve, engage and enlist their audience. We partner with some of the best venues, promoters, and festivals in North America, including The Independent (SF), Burning Man, Pitchfork Music Festival (Chicago), Austin City Limits Live, Forest Hills Stadium (NY), Brooklyn Bowl, and Merriweather Post Pavilion (Baltimore). The Opportunity
Ticketfly’s Marketing Services team is seeking a WordPress designer/developer to help further our mission of reimagining live events by producing amazing custom top-tier WordPress sites for our partners. We have developed over 500 Ticketfly-powered websites for venues, festivals and promoters throughout the United States and Canada, and we’re building more every day.

As a top candidate for this role, you will have a passion for building innovative website experiences that change the game for fans of live events. You will work directly with our clients, from website concept to completion and interface internally with the Ticketfly team to advance the overall Ticketfly-powered website platform. You will be skilled at project management, organization, client communication, and website development and design, including designing and executing markup (HTML/CSS).

Responsibilities
  • Work directly with Ticketfly clients to design and build best-in-class live event websites
  • Optimize websites to ensure they render consistently in cross-browser environments, with best SEO principles
  • Build WordPress themes optimized for mobile and tablet devices
  • Document processes and code in a clear, comprehensive and organized manner


  • Required Skills
  • 4+ years of professional experience in web design
  • Knowledge of the best practices and limitations of web design (layout widths, typography, image optimization, etc.)
  • Capable of taking pixel perfect Photoshop artwork and executing into HTML and CSS
  • Experience with dynamic or database driven websites, also known as Content Management Systems (CMS), including extensive knowledge of WordPress
  • Familiarity with PHP and JavaScript
  • Up to date with new CSS3 and HTML5 techniques
  • Extensive experience with Responsive and mobile design techniques
  • Experience de-bugging cross browser issues and troubleshooting development complications
  • Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment


  • Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Subversion or Github
  • Experience with bug tracking and project management software like Jira, Basecamp or Salesforce
  • Experience creating HTML email templates
  • Previous experience with music industry clients and related projects
  • Previous experience designing templates for eCommerce websites such as Shopify, Goodsie, Storenvy
