Description
I've got an interesting opportunity for a Microsoft Devops Engineer to join a leading IT consultancy on an initial 3 month contract to help with a resource gap between development and deployment. Because deployment is being done by the development team, the process is taking longer so we don't release code frequently enough. If the code goes wrong and the issues are due to the hardware or server environment the developers can't debug them, which means that we have long release cycles which impacts on the development team's productivity.As a result, we're looking for a Microsoft Devops Engineer who can come in and bridge that gap to make the site releases slicker, more autmoated, diagnose and fix platform problems when needed, as well as building new environments as required and supporting the rest of the infrastructure.
Contract length: 3 months
Location: Manchester
Rate: £ per day D.O.E
Start date: ASAP
The Microsoft Devops Engineer should have the development awareness to be able to deploy applications combined with hardware and infrastructure experience to provision the environments, troubleshoot the issues that arise in the Infrastructure layer and automate these processes wherever possible.
