Description
Cycle Infrastructure Design Specialist.
The main purpose of the role is to develop and design cycling specific traffic schemes through the application of specialist skills to support the Cycle Enfield initiative. This will include feasibility and option studies, consultation, gaining all necessary approvals, detailed design, project management, liaison with implementation staff and financial management.
In addition, the post holder will assist the Team in providing a high level of customer service in dealing with correspondence from Members, residents, business and other stakeholders.
Candidate will have the following essential skills and experience:
Essential:
1) Proven experience of designing and delivering a wide range of traffic schemes and particularly those focused on cycling
2) Proven experience in the use of AutoCAD and other relevant packages to successfully design traffic schemes
3) Proven experience of managing projects to ensure that they are delivered on time and within budget
4) The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
5) Ability to manage your own performance and that of more junior members of the team to ensure that goals are met and staff can succeed in working to their full potential
6) Ability to plan and organise workloads to achieve targets and meet deadlines
7) Proven experience of managing civil engineering contractor in the delivery of cycle specific schemes
