Description

IT Security Analyst - Milton Keynes - Contract

Provides access to and consultancy for IT facilities or Infrastructure in accordance with published company policy. Includes the identification of unauthorised access, compliance with data protection and performance of other administrative duties relating to security management.

Provides a technical lead on one or more systems, processes or functions.

  • Ensure that access and implementation requests meet the requirements of Information Security Policies.
  • Ensure that requests are completed within agreed SLA.
  • Investigates Security breaches with Information Security.
  • Provides consultancy to Define Security Access requirements.
  • Documents Processes and Procedures and ensures that they are regularly reviewed.
  • Works with system owners to trouble shoot incidents and resolve technical problems.
  • Escalate exceptions where necessary.
  • Provides required information to Internal and External Auditors.
  • Maintain records and Documentation in line with agreed controls and Processes.

Key Skills required:

  • In depth experience in an IT Security environment
  • Strong background in an operational environment
  • Detailed knowledge of AD/LDAP and supporting command line interfaces
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Access, and SQL 2005 + or UDB DB2
  • Development/Scripting knowledge using dot Net technology with emphasis on VB and Power Shell
  • Excellent Technical analysis/problem solving skills
