Description

As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will work with a wide variety of systems and teams to support our 24x7 satellite flight operations, as well as continued development of our ground & flight systems. As part of this, you will create and execute technical procedures related to deploying, upgrading, monitoring, supporting, and maintaining the Corporate IT services. The Senior Systems Administrator will also be responsible for Systems Engineering tasks, including working with other departments in order to gather requirements, evaluate alternatives, and architect new systems to meet those departments' needs. This Senior Systems Administrator is expected to have a solid understanding of computer and network fundamentals and be conscientious in their work and decision making.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be cleared to work with ITAR Regulated information (US Citizen or Green Card holder)
5 years of experience in a generalist SA role
3 years of experience in a specifically Windows-focused SA role
Experience maintaining & troubleshooting a variety of server & client OS's (Windows, Linux, OSX)
Multi-tasking and prioritizing capabilities and able to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency & problem solving to resolve issues quickly and accurately
Preferred Qualifications:
10 years of experience in a generalist SA role
5 years of experience in a specifically Windows-focused SA role
Extensive knowledge of small-scale hardware solutions to meet a variety of use cases ( 12 server deployments)
Experience managing virtualization & storage environments
Ability to generate clearly written procedures, documentation, and automation for recurring maintenance & support tasks
Experience with creating, maintaining, and deploying Mac & Windows OS images for users, teams, and specialized machine roles.
Responsibilities:
Utilize & maintain Windows technologies and applications such as Active Directory, SCCM, WSUS, FlexLM Licensing, Task Scheduler, as well as other systems such as Zimbra, JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, Cisco network devices, VPN, etc
Create, execute, and document maintenance & upgrade tasks and procedures
Gather requirements and develop solutions for upgrades and new systems
Perform proof-of-concept studies around new technologies
Analyze and troubleshoot systems issues, including Server Side issues, client-side issues, and networking issues
Participate in on-call rotation
