Description:
  • Under minimal supervision, performs procedures necessary to ensure stability of firmwide infrastructure.
  • Sometimes acts in a supervisory or entry leadership role.
  • Deeper knowledge of specific technology (hardware or software) and able to direct tier 1 analysts.
  • Assists ion development/implementation of policies, procedures and measures.
  • Configures and monitors systems.
  • Educates users about policies and consults on issues.
  • Conducts reviews and escalates issues when expertise has been exhausted.
  • Performs work that requires research and analysis.
  • Provides support to other technologists to solve problems with technology.
  • Understanding and demonstrated ability to participate in Change and Release management processes.
  • Identifies and produces knowledge management materials for procedural documents and known errors.
  • Creation and documentation of training materials and technical overviews of other associates.

  • Software testing
  • Cognos
  • Finance
  • Experience working with a standard development process ( SDLC, ITIL)
  • Experience in supporting applications on Unix/Linux server platforms
  • A successful candidate will have working knowledge of the following technologies: TCP/IP, browsers, Java/J2EE, JSP, WebSphere, JBOSS, Tomcat, portals, UNIX Scripting, networking, encryption, web security, SQL, Oracle 11g, DB, UNIX, Linux, and Apache Web Servers.
  • Must have broad technical knowledge.
