RAN/OSS INTEGRATION ENGINEER (CONTRACT) - IRELAND - COMPETITIVE DAILY RATE
THE COMPANY

THE ROLE
BSS and Radio operations position, with primary responsibility for resolving RAN related faults and issues and implementing configuration & parameter changes using the Ericsson OSS.
Main Responsibilities
- Implement RAN Datafill change requests using Ericsson OSS - CNA, CNAI, XMLs, CSVs
- Create and run Planned areas in OSS CM interface
- Troubleshoot and resolve radio faults and customer complaints
- Monitor RAN performance stats and OSS alarms and identify faults and issues
- Support SMC and Customer care teams in handling customer complaints and queries
- Potential for occasional On Call hours if there is a particular network programme that requires additional support
THE INDIVIDUAL
Strong experience in Ericsson OSS Integration is required from applicants with good knowledge and experience working with Telecommunications Operators and Vendors.

Required Experience:
- Min 4 years' experience in similar role
- Excellent knowledge of the OSS for running planned areas
- Ability to run change scripts using OSS or element managers
- Familiar with AMOS commands to check alarms, configuration etc
- Experience of running and creating Business Objects reports
- Excellent knowledge of Ericsson RAN counters and KPIs
- Basic UNIX skills and bash Scripting; ability to schedule tasks using crontabs
- Capability to evaluate issues, ability to identify source of problem and allocate to relevant team -SMC/Transmission/Ericsson/Optimisation
- Ability to identify and resolve faulty hardware issues on RNC/BSC/Site/Cell
- Experience of Implementing parameter/configuration/neighbour changes on sites/cells
- Experience with using Remedy for tracking Trouble Tickets
- Ability to lead teams and work as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
Desirable Experience:
- Knowledge of RBS rehoming, transmission redefinition and node reconfiguration including Location/routing areas
- Knowledge of RNC/BSCs and troubleshooting faults at node level
- Configure and monitor all interfaces [RANAP/RNSAP/NBAP] and transmission [IP/ATM]
- RNC/BSC Node upgrades performed with AMOS/OSS, verify upgrade and post upgrade monitor of Node
- All node configurations with OSS [PCA or Explorer] or AMOS [script running setting without scripts]
