Finance Data & MI Developer - Ipswich - 6 months
The role
As part of our Finance team, the Finance Data & MI Developer is to assist in the ongoing redevelopment of the existing financial management information reporting process. Utilising their highly technical skill set, the successful candidate will be expected to automate and fully document the production of accurate and timely MI to the business, while demonstrating the ability to understand KPI's and processes.
Due to the locational structure of the team, a large amount of travelling will be expected in this role.
Key Accountabilities:
*Review the current reporting and planning process identifying and implementing improvements and efficiency savings.
*Design & build end-to-end Microsoft MI solutions on financial data as part of an overall team, or working under your own supervision.
*Present complex technical concepts and ideas in business forums and management meetings.
*Work closely with the Database Management and Information Security teams to make sure that common company practices are adhered to.
*Support the Finance Manager in the delivery of new/adhoc requests for MI to support decision making.
*Fully document all process and technical deliveries.
*Assist in the transition of new MI solutions into Managed Services Support
The Finance Data & MI Developer must have:
*Experience using SQL Server (Up to and including 2012)
*Some experience building reports using Microsoft solutions
*Advanced level of application development and Scripting using Microsoft Office, particularly VBA
*MI Dashboarding and presentation skills
*Good communication skills
*Good customer facing skills
