Convertible Bonds Support Analyst/Investment Bank/Contract/London/£450 - £550 per day
My client, a pioneering investment bank, is looking a convertible bonds support analyst to be focused on on-boarding a new vendor technology platform in every respect from requirements gathering, to overseeing user testing and everything in-between.
Following on from this, the convertible bonds desk, 3rd party vendor and the business will need someone to liaise between them for support and development requirements, as well as in house development and support tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Overseeing the procurement of appropriate Servers for the new product
- Working with internal infrastructure groups to install and commission the relevant Servers
- Generally working with Networks, admins, DBA's, storage and other groups as appropriate to get the product in and up and running
- Gathering business requirements and reviewing internal and vendor requirements for completeness and accuracy.
- Working with business and technology management to prioritise workload
- Building internal interfaces and working with stakeholders to maintain and enhance those interfaces
- Analyse data in order to migrate the Legacy platform data into the new product with the assistance of the vendor.
- After the initial implementation of the product, manage the timely and safe migration of business functions into the new product, liaising with all relevant stakeholders and internal control groups in the process as required.
- Maintain a task list and high level plan of vendor and internal actions, key dependencies such as server or resource availability etc
- Document key tasks/flows as necessary for sharing with wider support staff
The successful candidate must possess:
- Ability to run and write SQL (or RAD experience)
- Strong business knowledge of equities
- Convertible Bonds knowledge (highly advantageous)
- Technically Minded
- Natural Problem Solver
- Delivery Focused
- Be able to manoeuvre around Windows or Unix Servers, and script accordingly.
- C# knowledge is beneficial
- Wider derivatives knowledge is beneficial
- Excellent communication skills (Front Office role)
