Oracle / SQL Server DBA - Data Migration project - Betting & Gaming Industry - 6 months full time - Yorkshire - £350 - £400 per dayCLIENT INFO:
Real Staffing are currently looking for a senior Oracle / SQL Server Database administrator (DBA) to work for a large E-commerce client within the betting and gaming industry, based in Yorkshire.
We are looking for a highly experienced Oracle / SQL Server DBA with an extensive history and proven track record of working on SQL Server 2000 to Oracle Data Migration projects.
Ideal start date for the Oracle / SQL Server DBA role is Monday 11th of May 2015.
KEY SKILLS:
- Oracle DBA
- SQL Server DBA
- Oracle 11g
- SQL Server 2000
- Experienced with Data Migration
- Migration project from SQL Server 2000 to Oracle 11g (must have a lot of migration experience)
- Using CSV files for export / import of data
- Interfacing between systems
- Data discovery (need to understand what has been used in the previous systems, as each has its own profile using multiple technologies)
- Physical Implementation
- Must have excellent Communication skills
- Requirements gathering experience with stakeholders.
DAY TO DAY DUTIES:
- Working as an Oracle / SQL Server DBA migration specialist on the Data migration project.
- Looking at the current 6 systems that need migrating from SQL Server 2000 to Oracle 11g and doing data discovery as each system has it's own profile with multiple technologies used.
- Understanding the physical implementation of the existing systems.
- Using CSV files exporting existing data and then importing onto Oracle 11g database.
- Interfacing between systems

- Day rate: £350 - £400 per day max
- Location - West Yorkshire
- MUST be eligible to work in the UK, unable to sponsor Visas
