Role: Delivery Lead Contract

Duration: 6 Months

Rate: Depending On Experience

A large multi-national company based in the financial sector are embarking on a major data strategy programme to migrate from their existing single Data Warehouse platform to a target architecture based on Operational Data Stores (ODS) based on SQL Server 2012, and a new Data Warehouse platform.

A pilot implementation on the ODS Layer will get underway in June, with further rollouts and implementation of new data warehouse platform planned, based on the successful implementation of the Pilot.

The immediate requirement is for resource to be available from June 2015. As part of the rollout we will be looking to extend the contracts for some of the resources into 2016.

Role: Take a lead role in the development, implementation and support of new and existing BI solutions.

Key Skills

Engage with project sponsors, stakeholders and delivery team to prepare delivery plans, track and report progress against plan

Manage project delivery team and associated project budgets by adhering to project management procedures and practises.

Direct and co-ordinate the full delivery lifecycle from detailed technical design, through the planning, build and delivery phases of development projects.

Responsible for communication with key stakeholders, including Executive level project board.

Experience & Knowledge:

5 + years commercial experience in programme/project management in a BI environment

7 + years commercial experience of hands-on design and implementation of business solutions that include data design/modelling, ETL technologies and reporting/BI technologies, for multi-terabyte data warehouse solutions

Track record of delivery of projects in mission critical environments.

Exposure to multiple, diverse business systems, technologies and processing environments.

Able to demonstrate strong risk management capability

Strong understanding of one or more of the following methodologies - Agile / Waterfall / Scrum

Excellent communication and influencing skills across at all levels within the organisation

Awareness of Big Data Solutions and Data Analytics
