Required knowledge and experience
Business experience
- Mandatory:
- Financial service
- Preferable:
- Non-Life underwriting insurance
- Non-Life claims insurance
Technical experience
- Mandatory:
- Experience with Application Development of Administrative systems in an IT department
- Preferable:
- Client Server environment (MF: Cobol/DB2)
Functional experience
- Mandatory:
- Significant experience as Business and Functional Analyst, ideally in large company, in direct contact with Business stakeholders
- Experience in enterprise development & analysis methodologies
- Preferable:
- Some experience in project management should help
- Experience and knowledge of technical analysis
Personal skills
- Mandatory:
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team

Objective of the job
As Functional Designer, you will
- Primarily be in charge of translating business objectives and ideas into detailed requirements and design of extensible solutions.
- If the person has enough technical knowledge, this can be based on a technical analysis of the existing systems and/or contain a part of technical analysis.
- Prepare functional test cases based on the requirements
- Test of the product before delivery to the users
- Follow up of technical designers and programmers.
The candidate will collaborate closely with the business, his peers & the architects to elaborate the functional description of IT solutions taking into account short term projects objectives & a long term vision of the application landscape. He/she is responsible for the correct implementation & testing of the solution within the planning, budget and quality constraints.
Language requirement:
Mandatory
- Dutch and French: one fluent, good understanding of the other one.
Preferable:
- Basic level of English
Level of education required:
Master in relevant domain (or equivalent through experience).
