Description

A leading Renewable Energy client is looking for an Onshore Substation Site Manager to work on their offshore wind farm project based in the UK.

The Onshore Substation Site Manager will be responsible for managing, planning and co-ordinating the onshore substation organisation and onshore substation installation activities, which will include the interface across packages toward the principle contractor/contractors. A large part of this role is people management (engineers) based on site, with the successful candidate leading a team of around 10-20 (engineers, civil, structural, electrical etc). Our client is looking for the Onshore Substation Site Manager
to be able to start ASAP this role is for approx. 24mths, Monday to Friday 5 days a week approx. 10hrs a day
Responsibilities:
Responsible for Health & Safety for all activities onshore during the execution phase
Responsible for implementing the HSE plan onsite and for establishing a safety culture amongst all involved parties, including principle contractor/contractors
Responsible for implementing onshore site regulations
Take part in pre-tender processes and reviews with the package managers, to ensure compliancy with onshore site construction requirements, regulations, HAZIP, HAZOP
Ensure lessons learnt and best practices are implemented
Qualifications:
Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant degree
