Manual QA Engineer / Tester -Cloud, Linux, Java, SQL - LondonA multinational software company are seeking a Manual QA Engineer / Tester to work on a cloud-based service.
You will be testing all aspects of a distributed system, testing both front-end UI and backend services as part of the product development team.
You must have recent experience testing a distributed system running on Linux servers.
Your backend testing experience includes Java running under Tomcat and on the front-end: JavaScript, HTML5 and Flex.
You will be:
Building test plans for new and existing features in the product.
Testing the front end of the product ensuring it stands to the highest industry standards.
Testing the backend services of the product.
Opening bugs detailing relevant information in a repeatable way.
Reproducing issues, and verify defect resolutions.
You will be involved in new feature development; as well as providing input to POs and Developers on the correct behaviour of the system.
Installing and configuring testing systems with latest deliveries for testing.
You must have:
Extensive experience as a Manual QA Engineer / Tester with experience in testing distributed systems with web based front end and backend web services.
Experience working with Databases, writing SQL queries for data validation.
Experience with XML
Experience with defect management and tracking tools, preferably Jira.
Experience with installing software builds
Experience working on Linux and/or Unix
Experience working in an Agile environment
