Description
My client based in Oxfordshire are looking for an experienced Contract Electronics Design Engineer, who is capable of end-to-end design of their new products.
The Role
To design, implement, evaluate and verify digitised sensors. Technical understanding should include VHDL/FPGA design together with enough analogue hardware and firmware coding skills to complete the system. Other duties as requested by a manager or director.
Skills and Experience
Required
* Digital hardware - data acquisition using discrete logic and FPGA (Altera Quartus).
* Embedded processor - Real Time code in Assembler or C. (NIOS II).
* Data transmission - RS485.
* PCB layout - Using Altium
* Experience of product evaluation and verification
* Good mathematics skills (algebra and simultaneous equation solving)
* MS Excel skills
* Low power switch mode power supply implementation (use of TI/LT design tools)
Preferable
* C++ with Visual Studio for Window
