C# Developer ASP.NET SQL Server - Isle of Man
We have a current requirement (ideally 18th May start date) for a C# Developer to work on two migration projects for a large Financial Services Customer (canditates will need to be proficient in .net Framework 3.5 (or later) and at Least SQL Server 2005. The First migration project is to cut over an Extranet web application SQL Server from 2005 to 2012; and then an uplift project from Windows 2003 Servers (32 bit) to Windows 2012 Servers (64 bit) with the remit of ensuring web applications continue to run on the target platform (carrying out remediation where necessary).
Other skills that are advantafeous - strong Front End development skills, including HTML 5, CSS 3 and JavaScript libraries (such as knockout.js or angular.js) as well as extensive knowledge of jQuery; a good understanding of MVC 4 or above as well as experience in C#.net and SQL server 2005 upwards; demonstrable ability to separate business logic and UI logic into discrete layers, to aid automated testing and progression of both concerns in parallel; and some experience developing responsive applications/web for cross browser and device solutions.
