Description

We are looking for a Service Now Architect who can work from any location in the US. The details:

ServiceNow Architect - JD

Principal Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise on ServiceNow and IT Service Management, act as technical product advocate to design, develop and implement ITIL processes within ServiceNow platform.
  • Analyze and evaluate alternative implementation solutions for the overall ITSM design and recommend cost effective and efficient solutions.
  • Design data models, changes to processes and ServiceNow modules.
  • Translate requirements into functional and technical requirements.
  • Design and develop ServiceNow data model to support process integrations, IT Asset Management and CMDB.
  • Good knowledge of web based development languages; specifically JavaScript, Ajax, HTML, CSS.
  • Strong customer focus and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand ServiceNow implementation life cycle.
  • Provide oversight and coordination between onsite/offshore teams.
  • Review and refine designs for usability, review testing scenarios and refine test cases, ensure application quality and work with users to review test results to ensure they meet expected results.
  • Support and coordinate scheduling and execution of releases, product upgrades, new technology deployments.
  • Evaluation of new features and produce comprehensive analysis and recommendations.
  • Participate and own product roadmap planning and testing.
  • Produce and maintain detailed system documentation including design specs, maintenance, troubleshooting, deployment, disaster recovery, tech-notes, and testing.

Process Management and Project Coordination

  • Assist in development of project estimates, contribute to defining project timelines, project plans and milestones.
  • Instruct, assign, review the work of other team members, including the review of high-level designs, detail designs, code, and test plans and results.
  • Perform all development life cycle activities and provide quality assurance for the work of other team members.
  • Mentor and coach other team members, facilitate individual team member development of technical, functional and industry skills.

Location: El Segundo, CA (or anywhere in US)

Experience

  • Experience in implementing ITIL, Enterprise Service Management, Asset and Configuration Management; at least 4 years of experience with ServiceNow.
  • Strong working knowledge in all aspects of ServiceNow, Service Management, Asset and Configuration Management and ITIL practices.
  • Strong working knowledge in each of the following: ServiceNow, JavaScript, web services, JDBC and distributed computing.
  • Design and development of RDBMS systems specifically with Oracle SQL.
  • Practical experience with agile methodologies/tools.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to describe technical solutions in the terms of the business.
  • Experience with leading a geographically dispersed customer and onshore/offshore teams.
  • Interact cross functionally on matters that require coordination across organization and collaborates well with other groups, voluntarily shares information.
  • Web based application design and development (Java, Javascript, J2EE, .NET - Object Orientated methodologies).
  • Experience of performance compliant design, sustainable solution architecture.
  • Integrations (Web services, REST APIs)
  • UI designing experience (HTML5, XML, CSS) CMS expertise in ServiceNow.
  • Synchronous and asynchronous design aspects.

Education, Training and Certification

BS or Equivalent Experience in Computer Science/Information Systems Management.

Certifications Preferred:

ServiceNow Implementation Specialist, ITIL
