We are currently recruiting for a Senior Python Developer to join a client based in Birmingham on a 3 Month initial contractDaily Rate: Dependant on experience - £350 - £400
Duration: 3 Month Initial Contract
Location: Birmingham
Clearance: Must be eligible for SC level security clearance
Start: ASAP
Key tasks and deliverables include:
As a senior member of a digital project team you will be required to use an Agile and Test Driven approach to developing, testing and deploying Python Web based Digital Products.
You will be required to build integrations with existing Legacy and line of business applications through implementation (or re-use) of a service based architecture based on Industry Standards, principles and best practices
Essential Experience
- *5 years commercial experience with Python*
- Commercial experience with modern MVC Web Frameworks (Flask, Django, etc )
- Commercial experience in agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, etc )
- Experience with Test Driven (TDD) and Behavioural Driven (BDD) development techniques
- Demonstrable knowledge of software design patterns and best practices (SOA, Micro Services, DRY, etc )
- Experience leading and mentoring other team members
- Experience working within a Continuous Integration environment (Peer review, Merge Requests, CI Setup, etc )
- RESTful services
- Test Automation Tools (Like Selenium)
- Experience with version control systems (Git, Mecurial, Svn, TFS, etc )
- Experience with Postgres and/or SQLServer databases
- Good working knowledge of Linux (ideally Ubuntu or other Debian based distribution)
- Knowledge of the Government (Gov.UK) design manual and service standard
- Experience with Vagrant
- Demonstrable knowledge of SOLID principles
- Scrum Master Certification
- Ability to lead in Agile ceremonies
- Exposure to TOGAF ADM
- Exposure to Microsoft .NET
