Description
ROLE PURPOSE
Leads "operational projects" for the Mobility Platform IT team. These operational projects are small to mid-sized efforts that require central coordination and direction but fall below the threshold which justifies a GIS PMO-led project, but at the same time are too large to be handled by operational personnel. As such they are characterized by a high degree of flexibility and light weight documentation.
These operational projects includes but are not limited to:
*Major annual version upgrades of iOS
*Planning and execution of Mobility Platform software or service upgrades for mobile and Web applications such as Password Changer, Password Reset, Mobility Supporter Tool, MobileIron Tunnel, and other innovation initiatives such as Media Distribution Service version upgrades and iOS mobile app development.
*Coordinates aligns with PMO, Quality management and security to ensure compliance to processes and when needed timely resource availability.
*Executes Proofs of Concept aimed to define the Mobility Platform technical roadmap such as new device models, other MDM platforms and different architecture strategies.
*Leadership of multi-team task forces aimed to investigate and resolve major mobility-related problems (eg iOS mail issues)
*Coordinates un-forecasted mobile device deployments or upgrades which require centralized coordination.
*Serves as Mobility Platform SPOC for activities related to Client mergers, acquisitions and divestitures not otherwise funded by those projects.
*Support project or initiative collection during budget phase
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
*Responsible for delivery of each operational initiative/project assigned.
*Develops and maintains in-depth understanding of the services offered by Mobility Platform.
*Maintains a high degree of knowledge regarding mobile devices, their configurations and the MDM platform.
*Works closely with the different operational roles within the Mobility Platform (communications, processes, architects, etc...) as well as IGM and Security
*Follows closely the new-trends in the mobile market space.
*Tracks financials and align with Operational BPA

*Success on the completion of the projects without negative impact on the service.
*Operational projects delivered as planned and communicated in scope, time, quality and budget
*Quality (not quantity) and availability of documentation produced.
*Provides timely and effective updates to the project stakeholders.
*Communicates clearly and often with cross-site team members.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
*6 years of experience within an IT environment and 2 years of mobile technology experience. Candidates must be able to demonstrate deep comfort with use of his/her mobile device, apps, settings and configuration.
*Basic project management skills - project planning, GANTT charts, etc.
*Excellent Communication skills
*Fluent in English (written and spoken)
