Salary: £60,000 - £110,000 circa + Package (salary depending on skills and experience)

Location: Commutable from Surrey, Slough, and West London. There is flexibility for some home working for up to half of the week if needed. Description

This is an opportunity to work with worldwide leading Pharmaceutical, Medical device, and Biotech companies. This opportunity has arisen as currently all the of the legal work is done from the US globally however they are looking to invest in hiring a Senior Corporate Counsel position in the UK office.

We are looking for a senior-level attorney to be a member of a growing legal team and Phase I-IV Clinical Research Organization (CRO) responsible for conducting global clinical development programs worldwide.

You will be overseeing the Company's privacy program and providing legal support for the Company's compliance program, study-start up and regulatory operations, litigation, employment and general advice and counsel on risk mitigation.
The role includes:

  • You will provide training and education to the Company's business units regarding regional legal updates, best practices, and risk mitigation.
  • Support Company's commercial legal functions as needed.
  • Provide a broad base of expertise as an international corporate generalist with a cross-cultural mind-set and an understanding of local cultures and business practices.
  • Manage and advise on global privacy laws and Company's global privacy program.
  • Provide regional support and advise on labor and employment laws, regulations and employee matters.
  • Select, manage and evaluate local external counsel within specified budgetary limits and in line with business and legal management's expectation.

Qualifications

· Extensive experience in a European legal department gained from the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.

· Experience in data privacy, general corporate and commercial matters (including transactions, contracts in all forms, export/import and licensing requirements, etc.) and labour law, as well as experience managing litigations.
