Javascript/Front-End Developer - 6-12months - Up To £300 per day(Javascript/HTML5/CSS3/Node.js)
My client has a fantastic contract opportunity for an experienced Javascript/Front-End developer.
The client is based in Manchester city centre and is a well known financial services organisation.
You will be joining an end to end agile team in the support of a digital transformation project. Your remit is to design and build new responsive web journeys and scale further teams.
On a day to day basis, you will be doing all the UI which will be very heavy on Javascript.
Skills Required:
- Comfortable implementing a Responsive / adaptive, mobile-first UI using semantic DOM, HTML5, and CSS3
- Strong JavaScript skills, with a background of building applications with minimal framework usage
- Good understanding of Web standards, Progressive enhancement, unobtrusive Javascript, etc.
- Have exposure to incremental and iterative approaches to software development. Pair programming etc.
- Good understanding of Shims for graceful degradation on older Browsers
- Comfortable with Test-driven Development and Javascript unit test frameworks such as Jasmine or Mocha
- Good grasp of the benefits of using styling pre-processors such as SASS/LESS
- Some exposure to NodeJS is preferable, especially Express.js
- AJAX, SPA, Rest API
- Some exposure to server-side templating, e.g., 'Jade, Handlebars'
Contract Location: Manchester city centre
Contract Length: Initially 6-12 months with a very high possibility of extension
Contract Rate: Up to £325 per day dependant on skill set
