A leading global financial institution, with offices in New York City are looking for an experienced Data Visualization Expert to be based in the NYC office on a contract basis.
As a Data Visualisation Expert you will be expected to have a skill-set which includes Gephi, D3.js and Hadoop to join their growing Data Science team with a focus on creating new interesting ways of visualizing data and improving current platforms.
The Data Visualization Expert will be reporting in to director level and they are looking to really inspire with creative visuals.
Responsibilities will include:
- Designing Dashboard & Ad-Hoc report visualizations
- Improving the design of current platforms and interfaces
- Analyze and optimize different options for new visualization tools and integration
Essential Skills for the Data Visualization Expert:
- 5+ years of data visualization experience
- Prior experience with Gephi Viz Platform, D3.js and Open Source databases
- Proven ability to integrate interactive data reporting platforms
- Experience creating, releasing and maintaining data visualization interfaces
Desired Skills for the Data Visualization Expert:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with multiple data visualization tools
- Experience with web technologies (HTML 5, CSS 3, Javascript)
