C# MVC Developer - Contract - Near Chester - £300/day - New technologiesOne of my top clients based near Chester are looking for a C# Developer / .Net Developer / Web Developer / MVC Developer to work on site for a 6 month contract, starting at the end of May.
This contract position is coming about to support a number of key new Greenfield projects that are nearing completion but need more development work, ideas, scope, and time. This means that the right person needs to be able to work across 3-4 projects at any given time, and manage his work load effectively.
Technology wise, the projects are all based on web technologies, creating web applications for internal use (not high volume but extremely important use). They are pushing the boundaries with some cutting edge technology (see below) and need someone to work as part of a team with these.
Required skills:
- C#
- ASP.Net MVC
- JavaScript
- SQL Server with Entity Framework
- HTML / CSS
- Web Services / WCF
- Unit Testing
Desired skills:
- Angular.JS / Knockout.JS / Boostrap
- MongoDB / Neo4J (work being done with these new databases for one of the projects)
- Signal R
- User interface and usability experience
- Source control (ideally using Subversion)
- Continuous Development (ideally using Continua)
- Agile / Scrum
I appreciate that you aren't likely to have all of these skills, but they have taken on people already without some of these skills and brought them up to speed.
The contract is likely to last much longer than the initial 6 months for the right C# MVC Developer, and as these projects are all in their first stages, they are more than likely to continue growing.
They are currently paying around the £300/day region for contractors, and do require contractors to be on site 5 days a week (though there is plenty of flexibility when it comes to start times etc).
Travel wise, they are easy to get to, and I have contractors that commute from Manchester, Warrington, and Chester, all of which say it is a straight forward journey going against the flow of traffic.
