Our client is in search for an Experienced Site solution expert/Manager, in ortder to Provide an optimized SE (Site Engineering) process and BOQ, standardize and simplify the site design procedure, and get approval from customer, for minimize the cost of SE, and participate in the negotiation during the bidding of SE subcontract. The ideal candidate is very much hands on with extensive knowledge in Design ie AUTOCAD and will have the responsibility of leading design team. Reporting directly to the Site Business Manager.
General Responsibility
Provide expert level advice and consultancy to Project Teams in the field of site design
Ensure that site designs, construction and electrical standards and specifications are agreed with the customer prior to the start of the project
Understand local conditions and tailor site designs to best match the local environment
Guarantee minimal design to provide value engineered designs
Review site specific designs as produced by the Design Consultancy and make recommendations to manage cost and simplify construction
Provide hands on training for staff who will be attending Technical Site Surveys (TSS), reviewing drawings and approving designs
Review and approve alternative materials proposed by suppliers and customers
Assist the Design Consultancy to produce non standard solutions as required
Ensure the site designs are in line with customers' requirement and standard of the operation and maintenance
Ensure that site designs are compliant with local Health and Safety requirements
Skills Required
Profile and Requirement
A qualified engineer with a minimum Bachelor degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
A minimum 10 years experience in site design of the telecoms industry, gained working for a Design Consultancy, Equipment Vendor or Operator Familiar with the civil work program such like SAP 2000, ETABS, StaadPro, MSTower, PCA, or other software.
Proficient in survey tools such as AUTOCAD, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Familiar with the industrial standard of the steel structure in the telecoms industry such like DIN (Deutsche Industrie Normen) =(German Industry Standard)and ENS (Europaeische Norms)=(Europe Standard)
An excellent understanding of towers, mon-pole and all antenna support structures
Extensive experience in concrete or reinforced concrete of tower foundation, familiar with electrical design according to the local standard
An in depth understanding of value engineering and the principles of cost effective designs
A flair to produce non standard designs to meet environmentally driven requirements
Experience of ensuring quality through design and designing within Health and Safety guidelines
Good negotiation skills to be able to influence the decision of discussions with customers and suppliers
A good communicator, fluent in German and English able to clearly convey meaning.
Experience working in multi cultural teams Have the locally accredited structure engineer license will be preferred.
Accredited by the institute such like DIN, CEN (European Committee for Standardization), CENELEC, VDI (Verein Deutscher Ingenieure)=( Association of German Engineers),VED(Verband Deutscher Elektrotechnikere.v) or ETSI will be preferred.
