Our direct fortune 500 client located in Mayfield Village, MD is looking for a Linux Sr. Systems Engineer.Required:
Required UNIX/Linux skills:
System Administration experience in Unix and Linux environments.
Perform administration of the Redhat Enterprise Linux & Oracle Linux operating system environments including Servers, file systems, backups, applications, account and user maintenance, upgrades and repairs.
Proficient in Shell Scripting, vi and UNIX command syntax; high demand based, service oriented environment on UNIX/Windows.
Monitor performance and reliability. Proactively identify potential problems and make recommendations for upgrades.
Manage files and directories from the command line to performing remote connections and file transfers.
Applying Security Management practices to Unix Servers.
View and modify file and directory permissions.
Working knowledge of the architecture, implementation, and support of an enterprise data warehouse.
