Role: UI DeveloperType: Daily Rate Contract
Contract Length: 3 Months w/ extension
Location: Dublin and Munster Ireland
A software development company developing sophisticated products gaming industry is recruiting a UI Developer to join a new project kicking off in a couple of weeks.
There will be a total of 7 people in total on this new scrum team so you will joining at a really exciting time.
Responsibilities
* Implement performant UI using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Backbone.js, and SCSS
* Build UI that works across modern browsers (multiple versions)
* Build high quality, well-structured robust components and modules that encourage reuse with great documentation in a collaborative environment
* Research, implement and help to drive innovative UI solutions
* Collaborate with the UI designer and back-end developers to push the limits of existing UI technology and create the best possible user experience
* Create rapid UI prototypes as needed for evaluation
Essential Requirements
* Strong UI development skills including HTML5, CSS3 (including responsive design), JavaScript, jQuery and AJAX
* Excellent communication skills
* Self motivated with a proven track record of learning new skills using their own initiative.
The ideal candidate will also have;
* Strong Web application design skills, including interface, layout and visual design
* Ability to follow and influence/create design and style guides
* Working knowledge of git/node based development environments and the linux or mac terminal
* Experience in websockets, require.js, Bootstrap, Backbone, RESTful API use
