Our client is a Global Internet Business with significant operations in Dublin. They are looking to fill an immediate and unique contract for a technology at scale DevOps Engineer. You will work with experience teams with a proven track record of delivering best of breed software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain a suite of automation tools as requested by stakeholders across a diverse set of technologies
- Deliver high quality software and provide support to stakeholder teams
- Produce high quality documentation for the tools/automation suites
- Research/investigate new systems management technologies and their applicability to this environment
Skills Required
- Degree in Computer Science/Electronic Engineering or IT related discipline
- Strong Scripting skills supporting system administration, automation and information gathering within Windows, Linux using variety of technologies (Python, Ruby, Powershell, Shell Scripting)
- Experience of development/integration with management protocols (SNMP, JMX, WMI)
- Familiarity with open source monitoring tools (Cacti, Nagios, Graphite etc)
- Data Centre automation experience
- Demonstrated ability to integrate open source platforms/components using a broad range of programming languages and Scripting technologies
- Responsible for developing production-level code, as well as proof-of-concepts and prototypes
- Administrator level knowledge of operating systems including Windows, Linux
- Self-motivated, with a focus on delivering finished products that meet high standards
- Fluency in the English language
