Oracle Fusion Infrastructure Expert

Yodel are embarking on an extremely exciting programme of work to replace their current core IT applications with a new purpose built solution.The programme of work is to commence immediately and will run through a number of phased deliverables over a period of 2 years.
As part of an exciting new Core IT Systems replacement programme of work, a number of roles have been identified as pivotal to the success.
The Oracle Fusion Infrastructure Expert is a key role that requires a hands on technical expert who can design the solution using industry best practice, and then see this solution through the build phase and into production.
Main Activities and Responsibilities
- Will report directly to the Programmes' technical project Manager and work with Yodel's.
- Will be involved in the design, creation and implementation of Yodel's Oracle Fusion Stack.
- Will be required to take non-functional requirements and ensure that the correct platform is put in place to meet the needs of the new applications and any future business requirements.
- Will have knowledge of enterprise Fusion deliverables, with high throughput and uptimes of 4 nines availability or better.
- Will know and have extensive experience of working with the Oracle SOA Suite.
- Will have experience of using Oracle middleware to integrate a number of Business critical applications, both on site proprietary systems and cloud based 3rd party applications.
- Will have worked with On-Premise and cloud-based solutions and have input into design considerations to help create the appropriate Infrastructure model.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, concisely with Industry standard methodologies, and fully document the solution to ensure smooth transition to internal teams following the completion of the programme.
- The ability to convey technical concepts and ideas to non-technical individuals (i.e. Business Users)
- May be required to travel to 3rd Party Vendor sites, or business hubs to present as part of the core programme team.
- Will be expected to see the initial design, through inception and be responsible for the ongoing delivery of the Infrastructure estate during the lifetime of the programme.
- Will be expected to not only design the solution but to take a lead in the creation of the solution.
- Will be expected to analyse, tune and guarantee the performance of the platform.
Essential Experience
- Architectural Design and implementation of a Fusion based enterprise solution.
- Applicants for the role need to be able to demonstrate a proven background in Fusion Design.
- Experience of working as part of a project team and experience of working in a fast moving, agile framework.
