A Blue Chip Pharmaceutical Client, my prestigious client is seeking a SAP Master Data & Packaging Materials Lead. Products are created and shipped to countries around the world, in more than 1500 different kinds of packaging. Packaging lines are staffed almost continuously to feed and Supply Chain to supply patients. Unfortunately businesses that mimic a lot of medicines and counterfeit products are life-threatening for the patients. Countries enact laws during this period with anti-counterfeit measures. It features a unique serial number on each product package. Serial numbers are then used to trace the products in the supply chain. The receiving pharmacist or hospitals do a scan to verify if it is an original product, in some cases the legislature also required that packaging "tamper-evident" are closed, so they can't be opened and closed without visible damage to the package. To enable the production of serialized products - there are quite a few adjustments needed in the production environment, for example new information systems apply data and logic in existing systems, each packing line is provided with additional printers, cameras, scanners and control systems, artworks on packaging be modified to be able to print the additional info when the products are being packed, staff will get extra training.
