Description
A global Renewable Energy client is looking for a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) at kV & corresponding Control Engineer (for kV) focusing on Wind Turbines to complete a freelance contract on an Offshore Wind Farm project in the UK. This role will start ASAP up until the 31st December 2015 with the possibility of a further 6 months extension. Working Pattern: 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, with app 12 hours per day, 7 working days per week.Tasks:
OFTO Interim maintenance for WDS HV assets
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call-rota
- To operate the High Voltage & Low Voltage (HV/LV) network in a safe and controlled manner, including providing safety from the HV/LV network for working parties under his/her control
- Operational and safety switching, including coordinating, planning, performance and where appropriate, supervision of the inspection and maintenance of the asset
- Daily coordination, communication and planning of HV/LV operations and maintenance activities
- Report, analysis and review services of the assets, including, but not limited to, operational reporting, service improvement analysis, service performance reviews, risk register and statuary inspections
- Control and switching the HV/LV network
- Writing, approving and following-up/controlling switching schedules for the HV/LV network
- Writing, issuing and cancelling Safety Documents as part of the permit to work system
- Production of Risk Assessments and Method Statements, where required
- Scrutiny of handover documentation for detail and suitability
- Liaise with the Control Engineer
- Plan, coordinate and supervise of sub-contracted personnel
Qualification of Candidate:
Minimum 3 - 8 years of electrical working maintenance experience as Senior Authorised Person (SAP) operating under the clients HV safety rules
- HV Senior Specialist familiar with WDS on & offshore substation maintenance program and execution
- Senior Authorised Person at kV & corresponding Control Engineer for kV)
- Electrical engineering working experience knowledge and understanding of maintenance programs and planning
