Erlang Development Team Leader - Contract
Our client is a leading IT consultancy providing solutions covering the Banking, Insurance, Retail and Media industries with offices in Europe and the US, their London site being based in the City. They have an urgent requirement for an Erlang Team Leader to head up a small team of developers, working on-site with one of their financial clients.
Key responsibilities include:

• Design and software development of an existing message handling application
• Writing Erlang code for new features and modifications
• Unit, integration and system testing of the application
• Leading a small team, in order to allow them to work consistently and efficiently
• Mentoring other software developers in Erlang related topics to allow them to become self-sufficient in the area of production Erlang applications

The ideal candidate will therefore possess extremely strong Erlang and OTP development skills, along with support Erlang applications. You will also need to have a demonstrable background leading and mentoring a team of developers, and be comfortable working in a Scrum-based Agile environment.
