Beacon Hill Technologies has a 6 month contract to hire opportunity for a SQL BI Developer.
Job Details:
The BI ETL Developer, Sr is an implementation expert for our Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Team. He/she will work with our analysts to understand the user needs and assist in the design of physical databases to support the requirements. He/she uses ETL and SQL tools to transform source data into target data models. This role also provides secondary technical support for the BI environment.
Education
An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Management Information Systems or similar discipline is required.
Experience
In addition to the education outlined above, at least 5-8 years of progressively responsible experience in Coding and administration of ETL on BI Initiatives is required.
Other Skills
Coding and administrating an ETL for DW/BI projects in a tool such as BusinessObjects Data Integrator/Services (BODI), SSIS or DataStage; BusinessObjects DI/DS is preferred.
Experience with database modelling for the purpose of reporting, including relational and dimensional modelling exposure
Expert SQL skills (MS TSQL preferred), including stored procedure programming
Prior experience with developing ETL standards is desirable
Data Quality and Profiling exposure is desirable
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
CBIP in Data Integration a plus
