Oracle Developer contractA leading Insurance company are looking to add a Senior Oracle Developer to their project team for a 6 month contract with a high possibility for extension beyond this. The role is joining a multi disciplined engineering team comprised of both Oracle and Java developers, both onshore and offshore. I recently placed the manager of this team so know the role inside and out.
Role: Oracle Developer
Duration: 6 months daily rate contract
Location: Dublin, Ireland
X-Factor: High probability of extension
Start Date: ASAP
Day to Day
You will be responsible for designing, enhancing, developing and debugging of PL/SQL applications. You will be translating business requirements into technical solutions, part of this is ensuring all key technical requirements are identified, estimated, implemented and tested. You will have full ownership of your area, this means having consistent design patterns and methodologies are maintained across your projects. Part of your seniority means you be technically and design reviews of other IT projects.
Skills/Experience:
6 years+ experience delivering solutions, working with:
- Development experience in Oracle PL/SQL including database design and modeling
- Oracle 11g
- Unix/Linux
Desirable
- ODI experience
- Java and integration to Java applications
- Financial/Insurance experience
Type of person for the Oracle role:
This role will suit a great communicator who is also comfortable technically. A troubleshooting mindset is well appreciated.
